What You Need To Know Before You Do It All Yourself
Without an understanding of how to use the Google Home app's features, the thermostat is ineffective as an energy-saving device and even as a thermostat.
This is also why our set up process is so particular. If you don't use the tenant's phone to install the thermostat, they may not have full access to their google home account and need to go through Google's verification process through the installer's phone just to access the app.
We encourage you NOT to try to share remote access to your Google Home Account with your tenants such that a separate maintenance professional uses their own phone to install.
If you miss or skip certain parts of the installation certain energy saving features will not even display in the app and your tenants will lose out on savings.
